May 21, 2014

According to Police Chief Brent Miller of the Lake Lotawana Police Department, on May 7, 2014, at approximately 2100 hours, a suspect armed with a handgun attempted to abduct and sexually assault a female subject whose vehicle had broken down on Langsford Road, approximately 200 feet west of MO 7 Highway.

The suspect is described as a white male, approximately 5'11”, large-framed, wide at the shoulders, collar-length, dark, well-groomed hair, approximately 35-50 years of age.

The suspect has discernible pock scars on both sides of his face. The suspect also has a very large scar believed to be on the left side of his face, that runs from his eye brow to his chin.

The suspect was wearing a dark colored long sleeve shirt, blue jeans and heavy, dark-colored work boots that may include steel toes.

The suspect was driving a non-descript, full-size work van, white in color with very bright headlights and possibly a ladder rack on top.

If you have information about this subject or incident please contact the Lake Lotawana Police Department at 816-578-4333 or the TIPS Hotline at 816-474 TIPS.
