Lee’s Summit City Council Endorsements

April 5, 2014

City Council elections are coming up April 8th and the Lee’s Summit Fire Fighters Association along with the Lee’s Summit Police Officers Association and the International Association of Machinist have been busy in screening Lee’s Summit City Council candidates for District 1, 2, and 3.

These three groups represent 2/3rds of the city employees from the Fire Department, Police Department and Public Works Department, Water Department and Fleet.

The screening group after much discussion and consideration of the information gathered, such as candidate’s experience, candidate responses during our interviews, and their responses in the community forums have decided to endorse:

• Diane Forte in District 1

• Craig Faith in District 2

• Joe Spallo in District 3

We would like to thank all of the candidates for participating in the screening process. Lee’s Summit is truly fortunate to have candidates such as these to take their time to commit to campaigning and serving the Community.

We know that each of the candidates have been working tirelessly to be elected and have the best interest of the city in mind.
