Summit Christian Academy

While working on a Spring Enrollment marketing campaign, Lee’s Summit Community Christian School conducted an extensive survey of families in Lee’s Summit, Raytown, Blue Springs and the whole Stateline corridor. The results were significant; LSCCS is the highest chosen school of the 20 accredited Christian Schools in the Metro area. One in four interviewed are looking for alternative schools especially in light of the reductions in public school funding and subsequently programs.
The current reputation of a community based school for Christians in Lee’s Summit was ready to grow and build on the solid base established over the past 21 years. Sunday evening, November 21, LSCCS announced a significant step towards a new future with a new name - Summit Christian Academy.
While building on their current heritage, Summit also means top, highest point. And as the top rated accredited Christian school in the metro focused on preparing students for academics and life, the name is a perfect fit.
The name change will transition over the next semester and be firmly in place for the 2011 school year. With a new motto of “our school spirit lasts an eternity,” students, staff and parents are invited to participate in a contest by creating videos that define “what school spirit means to me.” These videos will be used as part of next year’s enrollment campaign.
Welcome Summit Christian Academy, Lee’s Summit will watch proudly as you climb to new heights.
