Lee’s Summit Honors Veterans At Annual Memorial Day Service

 The Lee’s Summit Historical Cemetery bore witness to the annual Memorial Day Service hosted by VFW Post 5789. Veterans and supporters gathered by the World War II Memorial on Monday, May 26, 2014.

 The VFW also sponsored the Avenue of Flags at the cemetery for the duration of the long weekend.

Afterwards there was a free breakfast offered at the Post.
