Lee's Summit Police Department's Annual Tip-A-Cop Fundraiser for Special Olympics

Lee's Summit Police Department's Annual Tip-A-Cop Fundraiser for Special Olympics

April 16, 2014

On Thursday, April 17th  between 11am and 9pm, members of the public are invited to partner with the Lee’s Summit Police Department in a fund raising effort for Missouri Special Olympiads.

On Thursday, the members of the Lee’s Summit Police Department will join with Habanero’s restaurant for our annual “Tip-A-Cop” event to benefit Special Olympics.

Officers from the Police Department will be waiting tables and taking orders between 11am and 9pm.  Donations and tips will be accepted and the 2014 Law Enforcement Special Olympics Torch Run t-shirts will be available for sale.  This years event will also have a taco eating contest at 3:00 p.m.

The annual tip-a-cop event is a fund raiser that is done in addition to our annual “Polar Plunge” fund raiser and in conjunction with the annual Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics.  Special Olympics is a chosen charity for all law enforcement agencies and has been a partnered charity with the Lee’s Summit Police Department for several years.
