On 4/13/2011 at around 7:00 am, Officers from the Lee’s Summit Police Department were dispatched to the Crossroads Apartments in the 2200 block of NE Town Center on a reported shooting.  At this time, the investigation has revealed that a single victim suffered a gunshot wound and is being treated at an area hospital.  The investigation is on-going at this time and further details are not yet available.

At 4:40 p.m. the LSPD released the additional information:
The identity of the shooting victim in the case has not been released.  The victim is a 33 year old male who is still in serious condition at an area hospital.  The shooting was reported to the Lee’s Summit Police when the victim showed up at a local hospital early this morning suffering from a gunshot wound. Officers and Detectives with the Lee’s Summit Police Department then responded to the address where the shooting occurred to gather evidence.  A search warrant was served at the residence using a tactical team and a robot to clear the residence.
