Lee's Summit Police Officer K-9 Jax has passed away tonight

January 25, 2014

Very said to announce Lee's Summit Police Officer K-9 Jax has passed away tonight.

Heartfelt sympathy and prayers extended to his handler, family and the entire LSPD.

Officer K-9 Jax, a dark-coated shepherd, was born in the Czech Republic December of 2008.
Jax was trilingual, trained to recognize commands in German, Czech and English.

A very sad loss for the community and his off duty family. Obviously he'll be missed, and hopefully another of man's best friends will carry on his mission.
Thank you Jax, and to your handler as well.
