Lee's Summit Police releases information on the Raintree incident,

Sept. 21, 2011

By Sgt. Chris Depue,
LSPD

On Saturday evening, September 17, 2011 around 4p.m., Lee's Summit Police patrol officers responded to the 4100 block of SW Lafayette Place on a reported burglary.

The officers who responded believed that they still had suspects in the interior of the residence.  Our Bearcat armored vehicle was brought to the scene as a precaution.

The officers assessed the situation for several hours and ultimately a decision was made to clear the scene.  A report was taken and the investigation is still an open case so details beyond these facts are not yet subject to release.
