LEE'S SUMMIT R-7 SCHOOL DISTRICT CANCELLED ON WEDNESDAY, JAN. 6

LEE'S SUMMIT R-7 SCHOOL DISTRICT CANCELLED ON WEDNESDAY, JAN. 6

01.05.10
5:08 p.m.
On Jan. 6, all Lee's Summit R-7 schools are cancelled due to inclement weather. With this cancellation, the last day of school will be May 25.
The decision to cancel school is based on student safety and takes road and walkway conditions, forecasts and extremes in temperature and wind chill into consideration.

For information about after-school, evening or weekend activities at a specific school, please call the school's information line. All school telephone information lines are the school's main number plus "1". For example, the main line for Lee's Summit High School is 986-2000, and the LSHS information line is 986-2001. For a complete listing of all school information lines, visit the R-7 website at www.leesummit.k12.mo.us and select "Schools" from the toolbar and then "School Information Lines."

Due to the possibility of electrical outages or malfunctions of the internet server, the fastest and best way to learn about school closings is to check any of the Kansas City metro-area television stations as well as most radio stations. In addition, all R-7 parents will receive a recorded phone call about school cancellations, and all school closings are listed on the R-7 School District information line at 986-1001 and on all individual school information lines.
