Lee's Summit Stabbing

On Monday, 6/18/12 at around 11:00 a.m.  Lee's Summit Police officers were called to the apartments in the 600 block of NE Howard Avenue on a reported stabbing. 

The victim stated that she had heard a knock at her front door and that when she answered the door she was stabbed in the chest by a person who was known to her. The suspect fled the area.

The victim was transported to an area hospital with a non life threatening injury.

The investigation into the incident continues and detectives are interviewing persons related to the case.
