New Cheer Coordinator and New Varsity Cheer Coach at SCA

May 10, 2014

Julie Ray has been appointed the new SCA Cheer Coordinator and Moni Richards has been named the new SCA Varsity Cheer Coach.

“Ms. Ray will do an amazing job organizing our cheer program and pouring into the lives of our young ladies, “ said SCA Athletic Director Jake Kates.  “Julie’s experience with cheer at SCA makes her a natural fit for this position.”

Ms. Ray has been an elementary teacher at SCA for 10 years and has served as Coordinator of the Elementary All-Star Cheer program for seven of the 10 years.

“Coach Richards has a heart to use cheer as a platform to strengthen and grow our young ladies in their relationship with Christ,” commented Athletic Director Kates.  “Coach Richards brings the perfect skillset to draw out the athletic potential of the girls and to help develop this program.”

Coach Richards has an extensive background as an instructor in gymnastics and tumbling. She cheered at the college level for Southwest Baptist University.
