Paradise Park plays host to the 4th annual Strotherfest, July 30 - 31, 2010

July 1, 2010

Paradise Park, Kansas City's Premier Family Destination, plays host to Strotherfest 2010, July 30-31, from 9:30 a.m.-11 p.m. each day, with vendor booths opening at noon on Friday and 10 a.m. on Saturday. Strotherfest offers families an array of games, activities, musical entertainment, car show and food.

For-profits and non-profits alike can sell exclusive $5 Paradise Park coupons to fundraise for their organization.  Participating organizations keep 100% of the monies collected, and the purchaser receives a series of coupons redeemable at Strotherfest 2010, a value of over $25. For details on how to take advantage of this fundraising opportunity, visit www.Strotherfest.com.

"Paradise Park is pleased to team with many local organizations to produce this great event that can be enjoyed by families with children of all ages," said Jon Ellis, CEO and President of Paradise Park. "The event marks the first opportunity for the entire community to fundraise in a unified manner. We hope that our community will help us make history and support all of these fine organizations at the same time."

Many local organizations are already on board to make this the biggest Strotherfest event since its conception in 2007.  Performers and artists from the metropolitan area will provide the featured entertainment both nights.  Friday, July 30, begins the battle of the bands competition showcasing a select group of area bands competing for prizes and the honor of being this year's Strotherfest winner.  Saturday, July 31, features a car show from 11:00 a.m.-3 p.m.  The battle of the bands continues Saturday night with the top bands competing with some of the metro's finest entertainers until 10:30 p.m.

There will be a diverse group of vendors at Strotherfest 2010.  A variety of festival foods, refreshing beverages, local artisans and community organizations will make up a large part of the festival's community involvement.

Paradise Park is a family entertainment center that offers a unique mix of attractions, which includes a children's edutainment center and discovery play area. It is the only facility in the Midwest to offer both a children's edutainment center and a wide variety of entertainment attractions for all ages on the same site.

I really look forward to bringing Electra to the car show. Odds are she will be the only Electric Vehicle there. Thanks again to everyone that is making this event a success.
