By Jessica Root Intern Reporter for the Tribune Intern@lstribune.net
Paws4Autism, founded by Terri Wible, is a nonprofit charity dedicated to helping families with Autistic children connect to the world using canines.
On Thursday, September 13, Paws4Autism is hosting its first annual charity golf tournament at Drumm Farm Gold Club in Independence, Missouri. The registration fee for golfers is $100, and it covers the green fee, golf cart, event t-shirt, score cards, banquet lunch, various course contests, raffle tickets and door prizes. Sponsorship fees vary.
A portion of the registration fee will also be donated to the charity itself. After the cost of the event is covered, all money donated will go directly to benefit local families coping with the trials of Autism. Check in at Drumm Farm Golf Club will begin at 11:00 a.m., the buffet lunch will be served at noon and the shotgun start will be at 1:00 p.m.
Paws4Autism is still looking for sponsors, golfers and donations. Volunteers to work the event are also appreciated. To register to be a sponsor or golfer, donate or volunteer call Wible at 816-810-1924 or e-mail her at terri@paws4autism.org.
