Photo Contest Celebrates Water

May 3, 2014

We just don’t drink it, we bathe, play, cook, clean and garden with it. The public is being asked to celebrate water this month by sharing photos showing the importance of safe, reliable drinking water and how people use it for their families, pets and homes.

Lee’s Summit Water Utilities is kicking off National Drinking Water Week 2014 with a month-long, social-media photo contest. It’s an opportunity for people of all ages to share photos recognizing the vital role water plays in our lives

Post your photos on the Facebook event page, MyLSwater – Photo Contest, which can be found on the City of Lee’s Summit Government’s Facebook page at facebook.com/cityofls. You can also share your water photos via Twitter and Instagram using the hashtag, #MyLSwater, or submit photos by email to Miranda.landstra@cityofls.net.

Winners receive passes to Summit Waves Water Park, donated by Lee’s Summit Parks and Recreation. Be sure to include your full name, a short description of the photo and your contact information either within the caption or through email.
