Lee’s Summit North High School Broncobots held two robotics camps for children during July. Students from fourth through sixth grade attended the one-week camps, forming eight teams and competing as alliances with and against one another.

Students Participate In Educational Trip To Europe

A total of 29 Lee's Summit R-7 middle-school students participated in an approximately one-week educational tour of France, Switzerland and Germany during early June. Students traveling were from Bernard Campbell Middle School and Summit Lakes Middle School with a group of teachers from both schools organizing the trip.

R-7 School District Unveils New Compressed Natural Gas Public Fill Station

The Lee’s Summit R-7 School District achieved its next green milestone by opening a new Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) Public Fill Station located at 505 SE Transport Drive.

The Lee’s Summit Chamber of Commerce held a ribbon-cutting ceremony June 6 to unveil the public fill station.

The project is part of the district’s Lease Purchase Initiatives project, according to Ron Cox, Director of Purchasing and Distribution Services for the R-7 School District.
