Keith Henry Named Director Of Transportation

Keith Henry Named Director Of Transportation

Keith Henry was named Lee’s Summit R-7 School District director of transportation by the Board of Education at a Feb. 20 meeting. Mr. Henry is currently serving as director of transportation for the Independence School District. He will begin his new job in July and will replace Linda Thompson, who is retiring in June.

Mr. Henry has served as director of transportation in Independence since 2010. He previously served as executive director of support services in the Mehlville School District, as a school bus safety consultant for the University of Central Missouri, as director of transportation for the Windsor School District and as an aviation electrician/flight crewman for the United States Coast Guard.

In all, Mr. Henry has worked in student transportation for 20 years. He currently serves as president-elect of the National Association for Pupil Transportation and is a former president of the Missouri Association of Pupil Transportation. In addition, he was named 2004 Administrator of the Year by the Missouri Association of Pupil Transportation.
