Nutrition Council elects students

The Lee’s Summit R-7 School District Elementary Nutrition Council recently elected officers for the 2011-12 school year. They are Grant Silker, vice president, from Greenwood Elementary; Delaney Butler, secretary, from Pleasant Lea Elementary; and Hailey Paulson, president, from Cedar Creek Elementary.
The Nutrition Council meets monthly to provide feedback for the school lunch and breakfast programs. Student members also help promote new items and healthy choices within their schools.
