Prairie View Elementary teacher receives $500 grant from Farmers Insurance
Janice Phelan, R-7 Community Relations Director

Donna Mathews, a third-grade teacher at Prairie View Elementary School, recently received a $500 grant from the Farmers Insurance Extraordinary Educator Endowment. The money will be used to fund a special part of the third-grade economic unit. In December, the third graders make and sell a product called "Snowman Mix" to other students. With this generous grant it will be exciting to see how much money the third graders will be able to make, Mrs. Mathews said.   All proceeds will go to help Prairie View families who are in need. Mrs. Mathews applied for the grant through the Michael Blau Farmers Insurance Agency.
