Roberta Gough of Lee’s Summit files for the Fifth Congressional District

June 18, 2016

Roberta Gough of Lee’s Summit recently filed for the Fifth Congressional District in the Democrat Party currently held by Emanuel Cleaver. Roberta Gough focuses on ending the culture of corruption that is now in Congress.

Gough’s web site states that she believes that career politicians have turned Congress into a corrupt, do-nothing embarrassment. “I will clean up the mess by banning gifts from lobbyists, closing the revolving door between legislators and lobbyists, and applying term limits to Congress members.

“We can improve education for all Americans.  I believe every child has the right to a first-rate education. Too many children and parents are trapped in failing schools. Kansas City has several failed schools. I will lead efforts to provide more choices and opportunities for kids who need it most.

“I support Sen. Sanders' plan to replace the "Affordable Health Care Act" disaster that Congressman Cleaver pushed through Congress. "The Affordable Health Care Act" must be repealed and replaced”.
Roberta Gough has a degree in Mathematics, is a former high school teacher, served her country in the US Army and is a member of American Legion Post #189.
