Andrew Schwartz, third year political science student at Truman State University and a 2009 graduate of Lee’s Summit High School has been selected by the Washington Center to serve a congressional internship. Schwartz will spend the fall semester working in the office of Congressman Blaine Luetkemeyer from Northeast Missouri. Interns draft constituent correspondence, attend briefings and Congressional hearings and prepare memoranda for the congressman and members of his staff. Following graduation, Andrew plans to pursue a master’s degree in either Public Administration or Public Policy. He is the son of the Reverend Nathaniel and Gretchen Schwartz of Lee’s Summit.
