Shadow For The Day At The Capitol With Rep. Gary Cross

On Wednesday, February 20, 2013, Rep. Gary Cross District 35 hosted Kelsey Knutson a Senior at Lee’s Summit North at the Missouri State Capitol as his Shadow for the day.
Kelsey was participating in FCCLS Legislative “Shadowing Project”. Kelsey was one of sixty students from across Missouri who was selected to participate in the Missouri FCCLA program.
These students have a high interest in the process of government and the impact of policy on families and communities. The primary goal of the program is to allow these high school students to learn about the Missouri Legislature and its role in setting public policy focused on family, work and social issues.
This project is sponsored by The Missouri Family, Career and Community leaders of America (FCCLA) this Career and Technical Student Organization is ranked fifth in the nation with membership of more than 11,500 Missouri Students.
