Shave a Senator, Shave a Cop, Shave Former Councilman, Shave a Reporter

March 9, 2011

Lee's Summit Police Officer Mark Wiesemann, Nick Swearngin, Senator Will Kraus
and Merle Bowers.

John’s Barber Shop’s Annual Hair Razing Fundraiser for Hope House will be held Saturday, March 12.  While the silent auction garners a lot of support, it is the opportunity to shave owner Nick Swearngin or another local dignitaries’ head that is the real draw.  The fun has already started with Nick sporting Pink hair and beard for donations already raised.

Missouri State Senator from District 8, Will Kraus has put his hair on the auction block for a minimum bid of $1000. Former Senator Matt Bartle of Lee’s Summit has pledged $100 towards the shaving of Will Kraus.  The largest money donation will get the honor of shaving Kraus and will be included in a LS Tribune front page photo next week.   And don’t forget about LS Police Officer Mark Wiesemann and LS Tribune’s reporter Merle Bowers will both have their heads on the block.  Who will be the highest bidder to shave the PINK hair and beard of Nick Swearngin?

The Auction is Saturday, March 12th at John’s Barber Shop, 217 SE Douglas.  The Silent Auction begins at 3 p.m. and the ‘Heads’ start at 4:00 p.m.  Silent Auction ends at 5 p.m
