Painting of Kathy Hofmann by Tina Garrett
On Friday, July 27, 2012 more than 100 people found their way to the Stanley Historic Event Space to view the inspired works of Tina Garrett and Kathy Hofmann.
For this event over $700 was earned for the Gift of Life Endowment Fund. This fund is through the Truman Heartland Foundation and aims to educate people of all ages about the importance of organ donations. They also help transplant patients cope with the effects of the transplant.
The money earned continues to grow through the sale of booklets containing the poems of Kathy Hofmann and the Tina Garrett’s paintings inspired by them. The booklet also includes snippets of an article written about Kathy Hofmann’s life story.
Tina and Kathy both want to thank everyone involved, from the volunteers to the guests.
