Summit Christian Academy Girls’ Soccer Team Honored In Post Season

June 14, 2014

Several members of the Summit Christian Academy (SCA) Varsity Girls’ Soccer team were recently recognized for their work this season.

The team finished 13-5-1 on the season and won the first District Championship in the history of the soccer program.

Named to the All-Conference, All-District, and All-Region teams were 2014 SCA graduate Rachel Bacon, juniors Jessa Kliewer and Madison Sallas, sophomore Keeli Shearer, and freshman Kassi Ginther.  SCA freshman Erica Thompson was also named to the All-District and All-Region teams.

Madison Sallas was named 1st team All-State and Kassi Ginther was named 2nd team All-State.  Rachel Bacon received All-State honorable mention.

“This was an awesome season for our team,” said SCA Varsity Girls’ Soccer Coach Amber Siemsen.
“The team worked hard and I’m proud of their accomplishment, and the girls who were recognized are well deserving of this honor.”

Rachel Bacon and Kassi Ginther scored additional honors as the team closed out the season.  Rachel won Most Career Goals and Most Career Assists, 118 and 93, respectively.  Kassi Ginther won Most Goals in One Season with 45 goals.
