Chief Robert Leslie of Greenwood Police was notified that on or about Oct. 18, 2011, Gentry J. Viers appeared in a Norfolk, Virginia criminal court before a judge and refused to sign a waiver of extradition from Virginia to Missouri.
Leslie further explained that a Governor’s warrant will be needed to extradite Viers and this information has been forwarded to the Jackson County, Missouri Assistant Prosecuting Attorney assigned to the case so they can begin the process of obtaining the Governor’s warrant.
