Volume Instant Printing (VIP), a long time downtown Lee’s Summit business, announced this week the sale of their business to Corporate Copy Print of Independence, MO.

Owners Bill and Connie Bears have operated VIP for more than 33 years. “We are so thankful to our friends and customers and their tremendous loyalty over the years” stated Connie, adding “We’re going to miss coming in to our office in downtown Lee’ Summit”. Bill chimed in “But we’re not going far and we’re excited that our customers will receive the same care that we’ve shown them for many years”.

The Bears own their building at 110 SE 3rd Street in downtown and plan to move the printing operations to Independence and merge with CCP. The VIP building will be cleaned out, renovated and offered for lease. “As we grow closer to retirement we knew that our customers would require new technology to meet their printing needs. Corporate Copy Print has invested in that technology and will be a terrific asset for our long time customers” said Bill.

Corporate Copy Print, 111 S. Main, Independence, MO has been in business since 1994 and occupies a 10,000 square foot building. Their ten employees utilize traditional and digital technology to complete customer projects in print, copy, signage, graphic design as well as specialty advertising items. Owner

Tom Waters commented on the acquisition, “Bill and Connie have developed a business over the years based on trust and personal service. Like CCP, they are a family operated business and will be a perfect match for us”. Waters added, “While we conduct the majority of our business electronically we set ourselves apart from the competition by offering very personal service. Like VIP, some CCP customers have been with us for more than twenty years”.

The Bears will remain a part of the CCP staff for the foreseeable future in order to ensure a successful transition. For more information call 816-252-0400 or www.corporatecopyprint.com.
