Fred's Football Forecast: October 20, 2017

Lee's Summit at Joplin (Llywelyn's Pub Pick of the Week)

Fresh off wins against Ray Pec & LS West, the Tigers are growling at the right time of the year. Winners of 2 games straight and 4-5 overall, can they keep the good times going in the district playoffs at Joplin?  Joplin is the #3 seed and finished a quiet 7-2 regular season last week. The Tigers scored an upset last week here in Lee's Summit. This week they will travel further to score another one, this time in Southwest Missouri.

What I REID Into It: October 14, 2017

Isn't anyone happy these days? Both teams enter this Sunday's game a bit upset. The undefeated KC Chiefs are looking at film this week of a Sunday night loss to Pittsburgh from last year. Chiefs fans will recall a game that got out of hand in the 1st quarter en route to a 43-14 embarrassing loss.

The Chiefs then played host to the Steelers in a AFC Division round playoff game, a prime opportunity to exact some revenge. The ending was familiar for the Chiefs as they saw their season end in an 18-16 frustrating loss to the Steelers. In fact, Pittsburgh seems to have the Chiefs number, beating them 5 out of their last 6 meetings.

Blue Springs at Ray-Pec (Wild Card Game of the Week)

The Blue Springs Wildcats have everything going their way right now. The defense has only given up 9 points over the last two weeks, and they will make sure the Panthers won't do much better. I see another Wildcat Victory after this one.

Weekly Radio Show "Chiefs Kingdom" to Pay Lee's Summit a Visit on Monday

The weekly Kansas City Chiefs radio show, Chiefs Kingdom, will make a stop in Lee's Summit on Monday, Oct. 9.  Each week throughout the season, the traveling radio show, hosted by the voice of the Chiefs’ Mitch Holthus, visits a different Hy-Vee Market Grille location.

This week the show will broadcast live from the Hy-Vee Market Grille at 301 NE Rice Road.

Ray Pec at Lee's Summit (Friday Night Lights Tour Stop)

Ray Pec has lost to both LS North and LS West. Can Lee's Summit make it a trifecta in 2017? Both teams enter this game at 2-5 and could use a win desperately. Only one team will get well with a victory on this night. By a slim margin, the home team, Lee's Summit Tigers will be the ones feeling well.

What I REID Into It: September 30, 2017

The Kansas City Chiefs continue their tour through the NFC East division on Monday night when they host the Washington Redskins.

The Chiefs were in a 3-way tie for first place in the AFC West last week. Thanks to being the only division team to win on Sunday, the Chiefs are now on top at 3-0. The Redskins are in a 3-way tie for first place in the NFC East this week. The 'skins are 2-1 heading to Kansas City with full steam confidence. Last week, under the bright lights of Sunday night football, the Redskins beat up on Oakland in a convincing win at home.

Fred's Football Forecast: September 29, 2017

*** Update***
Due to the incident at LSN this morning, this game will be held Saturday at 2:00 p.m.

Blue Springs at LS North (Friday Night Lights Tour Stop)

Both teams enter this game at 4-2, something many would not have predicted at the start of the season. The Wildcats have beaten both Lee's Summit and LS West and now come back to town to beat the Broncos. Coming in off from a win at Rockhurst shows that Blue Springs have righted their ship and will win this one.

Kansas City Chiefs Watch Party At Westside Grill

The fun begins at 3:00 p.m., game kickoff follows at 3:25 p.m. See you there and "Let's GO Chiefs".

What I REID Into It: September 23, 2017

The Kansas City Chiefs are a red-hot team right now at 2-0 to start the 2017 season. The schedule maker has assisted the Chiefs, in that every team they have faced, so far, is a familiar one. The Chiefs were familiar with traditional AFC power New England Patriots, then were very familiar with the Philadelphia Eagles due to ex co-workers being there and much more. This week it's a familiar division foe, the Los Angeles Chargers.
