What I REID Into It: December 16, 2017

The Kansas City Chiefs are giving their fans quite a gift this holiday season. Not one, but TWO AFC West division showdowns are taking place over the last month of the season. Last week, the Chiefs played and beat division rival Oakland. I called that game B-I-G. Now, the Chiefs will play host to their first ever Saturday night game at Arrowhead Stadium and face division rival Los Angeles Chargers in a game I am calling H-U-G-E.

Meet a Maverick: Mason McDonald #31

In the 8-year history of the Kansas City Mavericks’ franchise history, there have been many tales written of excellent goaltending by the team. Normally there is just one goalie that is earning the acclaim by local media, but the 2017-18 season is giving fans and media alike TWO reasons to love the person in goal.

What I REID Into It: December 9, 2017

The NFL season has now reached week #14 and, to no one's surprise, this Sunday's game between AFC West division rivals Oakland and Kansas City has a lot on the line. What no one saw coming was how the two teams have arrived at this very point in the season.

Meet A Maverick: Hunter Smith #34

When Mavericks hockey fans watch this year's team, one player on the ice will stand above all the rest. That's because Mavericks newcomer Hunter Smith is 6 feet 7 inches tall to go along with weighing 231 pounds. The first-year Maverick spent the last two seasons playing in the AHL for the Stockton Heat. The 3rd year pro wishes to return to that level later this season.

Smitty, as he is called by his new teammates, hails from Windsor, Ontario. His parents, grandparents and a girlfriend reside there still, and all root him on from home. Smith says his favorite pro sports team is the Detroit Tigers because they are the nearest MLB team to his home in Ontario.

What I REID Into It: December 2, 2017

“Paging Dr. Reid and stat. A Dr. Reid is needed to cure someone who is ill, not feeling well and performing poorly.”

If this was describing a single person they would have gone to the Emergency Room, but this is a group of men called the Kansas City Chiefs. The entire 53-man roster on this NFL team thankfully has a large locker room in order to visit with their Dr. Reid to go over what ails them and to discuss any remedies.

That's What I REID Into It for this week.

What I REID Into It: November 25, 2017

Both the Kansas City Chiefs and Buffalo Bills meet at Arrowhead Stadium on Sunday looking for answers to some very tough questions. Both teams enter the match up from disappointing losses. This shocked some as the Chiefs dropped a road game at then 1-8 NY Giants and the Bills were humiliated 54-24 by the LA Chargers.
