Lee's Summit Edges North in Tri-Meet

Lee’s Summit Women’s swimming and diving edged Lee’s Summit North( 153-152) and defeated Blue Springs South(168-141) in a tri-meet Wednesday afternoon. Lee’s Summit North also defeated Blue Springs South(181-131). 

Lee’s Summit Tiger swimmers won 8 of the 12 events.

Individual victors for the Tigers were: Heather Snyder (200 yard free and 100 yard breast), Sydney Drew(200 yard IM and 100 yard back) and Ashlyn Black(100 yard free) .  Lee’s Summit also took first in 200 yard medley, 200 yard free and 400 yard free relays. 

Sydney Drew improved her state cut time in the 100 back, the medley relay made state, the 200 free relay had a state cut.

Paige Helling and Kelsey Babson of Lee’s Summit North took first and second in 1 meter diving.  Anna Lee placed first in 100 yard butterfly for the Broncos.

Lee’s Summit Coach Bruce Holder comments, “The girls are working hard....looking toward the end of the season. I expect we will be ready for whatever other teams in the conference throw at us.”
