Lee's Summit North Athletes Receive Champion of Character Award

Two Lee's Summit North student athletes, Cady Jo Lennan and Kenny Berry were recently honored as NAIA "Champions of Character".
Cady Jo Lennan received this award as a member of the Lee’s Summit North girls basketball team. She is a junior post player who is a team player and leader on and off the court. Coach Tricia Lillygren comments, “She excels in the classroom with a GPA of 4.10. She is always willing to do whatever is asked of her in both the classroom and the basketball court. She carries herself with pride and integrity and is always willing to lend a hand.”
Kenny Berry received this award as a member of the Bronco basketball team that recently placed third in state. Kenny is a senior point guard from Lee's Summit North. Coach Mike Hilbert relays that, “Kenny was selected because of his work ethic and his leadership abilities. Kenny was focused on being his best and helping his team succeed.
