In what promises to be the first of many games in a developing cross town rivalry, Lee's Summit North Broncos defeated Lee's Summit West Titans II in lacrosse Saturday night 4-2.

Lacrosse is a new club sport at each of the R-7 high schools this spring. Each school will play a schedule of games against each other and some other area schools.

Saturday afternoon, the Broncos fell earlier, in their first game ever, 11-2 to Olathe East. They faced the Titans second team later that evening who they defeated 4-2.

In other action, Titan team I defeated Lee's Summit Tigers Saturday night 6-1.

The Lee's Summit Tribune would like to thank Rhonda Upman, Bronco Booster Club member, for contributing photos.
