The Lone Jack Mules fell to the Barstow Knights Thursday night 59-44 in the Cass-Midway tournament. In their first round game they defeated the Cass Midway Vikings 54-42.
Near the beginning of the third quarter the score was as close as 29-27 in favor of the Knights, however Barstow built a lead of 45-32 at the end of 3.
The Mules never seemed to give up though, being led by the aggressive defense of Skyler Overlander, the three point shooting of Joey Rains and the 14 points contributed by Jake Suhr.
The Mules face Adrian Saturday at 4:00 in the Cass Midway Tournament. They are 2-0 against Adrian this season, so this promises to be a good game for Lone Jack.
In other action, the Lady Mules basketball team defeated Cass Midway in their first round game 49-41. They lost Thursday night to Adrian by 37-34. They will face Kansas City Lutheran Saturday at 2:30 at the Cass Midway Tournament.
