The 2012 NFL pre-season is underway and with it brings fresh faces to the Kansas City Chiefs sideline. Some of the new faces are obvious like new Head Coach Romeo Crennel and Offensive Coordinator Brian Daboll.
After their first preseason game the KC Chiefs have already demonstrated to the local fan base things are indeed new this year. First the Chiefs won a preseason game over Arizona 27-17 on Friday night. The Chiefs did not win a single preseason game last year. In their 10 point victory the Chiefs saw rookie RB Cyrus Gray score a rushing touchdown. Chiefs fans were also delighted to see new TE Steve Maneri lead the team with 3 receptions for 69 yards including a long 29 yard pass. All these new faces bringing new results to the team can continue this Saturday night when the team travels east to St. Louis to play the Rams. Should the Chiefs beat their in-state rival they will re-claim the Governor's Cup, just something else new in this very new 2012 football season.
