O'Hara eases past Knob Noster 13-6

September 7, 2012

By Brother Richard

The Celtics of O'Hara High School scored two touchdowns in the first half of their game with Knob Noster on Friday and went on to win 13-6.

Brock Hughes opened the scoring with a five yard run in the first quarter and Zach Drake tagged on the extra point.

Sailer found the end zone just before halftime with a five yard TD but the extra point was blocked and the Celtics had to settle for a 13-0 score midway though the game.

The Panthers' lone TD was a nifty 82 yard run down the right sideline by Lane Epperson but the team was unable to convert the extra point.

Neither team could put points on the scoreboard in the fourth quarter.  Sam Morrison intercepted two of Logan Lawber's passes as the Panthers tried to catch up to the Celtics.

I wouldn't call that an easy win, last time i checked we got inside the 20 a time just coming up short. If anything I would call that a hard fought game, you guys only won by 1 touchdown.

I saw the game and neither team dominated although O'Hara scored twice before Knob Noster did with Lane Epperson's run. The first name of Sailer is Ronnie who scored for O'Hara if anyone wanted to know. The fans were glad the rain ended before the game got started.
