On Saturday, February 20th, Travis Peter lost to Kirkville's Justin Vanhoose 9-3 for the Class 2 State Title in the 125 weight competition.

he Clinton Cardinals had their hands full with junior Josh Rupprecht who scored 20 and sophomore Daniel Hurtt who was not far behind with 18 as the O'Hara Celtics won on February 17th by a score of 79-46.

CELTICS REMAIN UNDEFEATED IN WCC WITH A FIVE POINT WIN OVER WARRENSBURG

    Earlier in the basketball season, the O'Hara Celtics poured in  98 points against the Warrenburg Tigers, but in the game on February 12th, they were held to only 38.

LADY CELTICS CELEBRATE SENIOR NIGHT WITH A ONE-SIDED WIN

     Except for twelve points scored by junior Victoria Hurtt, the five O'Hara Lady Celtics honored at Senior Night on February 12th scored all of the home team's points in a 64-35 win over the Pembroke Hill Raiders.

O'HARA IS RUNNER-UP IN NIXA INVITATIONAL

Three three-pointers by Ben Fisher in the first quarter vaulted the Nixa Eagles to an early 26-14 lead over O'Hara, and the host team went on to win the Nixa Invitational 2010 championship 72-45. The Eagles went to 20-1 for their season and O'Hara to 16-4.

ROYALS AGREE TO A ONE-YEAR CONTRACT WITH OUTFIELDER RICK ANKIEL

The Kansas City Royals have announced that the club has agreed to a one-year Major League contract for the 2010 season with outfielder Rick Ankiel.  The contract also includes a mutual option for 2011.  Consistent with club policy, terms of the contract were not disclosed.  A corresponding 40-man roster move will be made once the contract has been confirmed.
