Future Tigers Football Camp Teaches Young Athletes Techniques

Tiger Football varsity and freshman coaching staffs, as well as some guest coaches, will teach stance and proper football positions; correct throwing and catching techniques; correct blocking and tackling progressions with bags; correct running and training techniques; run 7-on-7 activities; hold punt, pass, and kick competitions; and run other competitive situations.

An All-American Medley

After dominating state, six Lee’s Summit West track girls were invited to run in the New Balance National Track and Field Championships.

The championships took place June 16-18 in Greensboro at the University of North Carolina A&T.

Lee’s Summit North Baseball Player, Justin Root, Selected for Missouri Class 5 2nd All-State Team

Each year, the Missouri High School Baseball Coaches Association (MHSBCA) selects the best players at each of the five levels of high school baseball in the state of Missouri. This year, Lee’s Summit North senior, Justin Root has earned a spot on the Missouri Class 5, 2nd All-State Team.

Root was sitting in a Dairy Queen in Iowa when he first got the news.

The Kansas City Royals, having won eight out of their last ten games, saw someone hotter than them in Boston Red Sox Lefty Chris Sale. Sale shut down the KC Royals attack, striking out ten batters en route to a 8-3 Red Sox win on Tuesday night.
