O'Hara Volleyball Team Fares Well With Powerful Opponents

On Saturday, September 26th, the O'Hara volleyball team competed in the Blue Springs South Invitational in which sixteen powerhouses were represented, and did a commenable job even though unable to survive as one of the four semifinalists.

Lee's Summit Volleyball Friend – Foe, Sister – More

    Volleyball is a big sport in this area.  According to Lee’s Summit High School Booster Board member Elizabeth Knipp, “approximately 25 club teams in this area went to Nationals in Miami during July.”  The teams are made up of girls from 12 to 18 and compete at different skill levels.

Smith-Cotton Outlast O'Hara 28-20

    Bolstered by a 21 point second quarter, the Smith-Cotton Tigers won a close 28-20 football game with O'Hara at Paul Monteil Stadium on September 18th. Twice the Celtics had had the lead, in the first quarter 6-0 and just before halftime 20-14. The halftime score was 21-20.
