Tim Richardson Of LSNHS Named To Soccer Coaches Association Hall Of Fame

December 22, 2012

Tim Richardson, Leeís Summit North High School
teacher and head boys soccer coach, was recently
selected for inclusion in the Missouri State High
School Soccer Coaches Association (MSHSSCA) Hall of Fame.

This is the inaugural year for the Missouri Hall of Fame, and Mr. Richardson is among 11 outstanding coaches selected from throughout the state. In addition, the LSNHS teacher is the only coach from the Kansas City metropolitan area to be selected for the 2013 honor.

All Hall of Fame inductees, selected by the MSHSSCA Hall of Fame Committee, will be honored at the first MSHSSCA Boys Soccer Banquet and Hall of Fame Induction Jan. 5 in Columbia.

Mr. Richardson was selected for this honor based on his success at building winning soccer programs at LSNHS and previously at Leeís Summit High School. Mr. Richardson has compiled a record of 453-194-67 as a boys coach and 291-77-18 as a girls coach.  He has taken six girls teams to the Missouri State Final four, placing fourth place (2007), third place (1999), second place (2002, 2009, 2012) and first place (2000).

The LSNHS coach was the first public school coach from the Kansas City area to win a girls state title. He has numerous conference and district championships as well.

In addition, the quality of players that Mr. Richardson has developed over the years may be his most impressive accomplishment, said a spokesperson for the Hall of Fame Committee. Through club and high school coaching, he has positively impacted the success of many players.
