The VFW 5th District Ladies Auxiliary

The 5th District Ladies Auxiliary held their annual convention May 5th at VFW Post 4242 in Raytown.  Chairmen gave reports regarding the programs of the Ladies Auxiliary including homemade bags to be given to the Veterans at the VA hospital which they will present to their loved ones on Mother’s Day.

High School citations and monetary awards
for their patriotic art work. The artwork
from our first place winner, Lexi Morris,
has been sent onto state for judging for the

When the four of us – myself, Paula McKinley, Kit Carson and Sue Higgins-Sprowell – and started talking about doing the fundraiser for David King on Feb. 18, we never dreamed that it would unfold and happen the way it did.
