In 1917 when the United States entered World War 1,Georgen Seibold volunteered and requested an assignment in Aviation. He was sent to Canada where he learned to fly British planes since the United States had neither and air force or planes.

The Veterans of Foreign Wars was founded in 1899 for the purpose of assisting veterans in obtaining medical and pension benefits from the federal government.
JEFFERSON CITY – The Missouri Veterans Commission and the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) reminds Missourians that if you are a Veteran with a non-service connected pension or a widow or widower who receives a pension from the VA you must fill out and send in your Eligibility Verification Report (EVR) by March 1, 2010 or your pension will be suspended.
