Gifts for Veterans By Maisie Rodenbaugh
Several ladies from the VFW Auxiliaries in the 3rd and 5th District in the Kansas City area met at the Kansas City Veteran’s Hospital for their annual distribution of men’s socks to the patients for their Fathers Day gifts on Wednesday at 2pm. The ladies went to each fl oor and delivered each patient 2 pairs of wrapped socks. There were 150 pair of socks donated by the Auxiliaries and the extra pairs that we had left was taken to homeless veterans in our area.
