VFW Post 6272 and Auxiliary News
Don Avise Memorial VFW Post 6272 and its Ladies Auxiliary are located at Lake Lotawana, just inside Gate # 1. Our regular meetings are held on the second Saturday of the month at 1:00 PM. Our next meeting will be July 11, 2009.
Our 2009-2010 VFW Commander will be Phil Silvain and the Auxiliary President will be Linda Ahern. We serve breakfast every 2nd and 4th Saturday of the month from 8 a.m. to Noon. $6.00 for all you care to eat pancakes, biscuits, sausage gravy, sausage links, and eggs to order, juice, milk and coffee, and kids are half price. Our next breakfast will be July 11th, so come spend your Saturday morning with us.
If you are looking for a place to watch 4th of July fireworks, we have just the spot. We have plenty of parking but bring your own chairs. You will have a front row seat as we are located just up the hill from the display at the dam.
Be sure to look for our article on the history of the VFW Organization in an upcoming issue. We were organized over 100 years ago.
