MAVERICKS COMEBACK FOR SHOOTOUT WIN OVER AMARILLO

Jeff Christian scored two goals and the Missouri Mavericks defeated the Amarillo Gorillas 3-2 in a shootout Saturday night at Independence Events Center.  Missouri goaltender Doug Groenestege stopped 31 of 33 shots and seven of nine shots in the shootout for his fifth win of the season.

MAVERICKS BLANK THUNDER, 4-0

The Missouri Mavericks scored two goals on their first two shots and didn’t look back in a 4-0 shutout of the Wichita Thunder Friday night at Independence Events Center.  Mavericks’ goaltender Alexandre Vincent stopped all 21 shots faced in his second win with Missouri and the team improved to 7-9-1 overall.  Carlyle Lewis (1-1=2) and Brett Hammond (0-2=2) led all scorers with two points apiece as the Mavericks improved to 6-0-0 against the Thunder this season.
