| The Missouri Mavericks defeated the Tulsa Oilers 5-4 in a shootout Thursday night in front of 4,597 fans at BOK Center. The win marked the first for the Mavericks over a team other than the Wichita Thunder, and Missouri is now two-for-two in shootout situations. Missouri ended the Oilers win streak at seven games and gave the Oilers their first loss at home. The Mavericks improved their record to 5-8-1 and will head home for a game Friday night at Independence Events Center against the Wichita Thunder at 7:05 p.m. |

| Missouri Mavericks Head Coach Scott Hillman announced Wednesday the Central Hockey League (CHL) club has signed two-time CHL All-Star defenseman Mike Burgoyne. The Mavericks have also signed goaltender Alexandre Vincent to a five-game tryout. In order to make room on the roster, Missouri waived defenseman Shaun Arvai. |

| The Missouri Mavericks scored three power play goals en route to a 4-2 victory over the Wichita Thunder Saturday night at Independence Events Center. Mavericks forward Jeff MacDermid tallied two goals and Jeff Christian added three assists as the Mavericks won their second straight game. Goaltender Mike Gorman finished with 38 saves on 40 shots for his first win of the season and Missouri improved their overall record to 4-6-1. |

| The Missouri Mavericks have announced “Give ‘Em Hell” as the team’s inaugural season theme. The slogan pays homage to former President Harry S. Truman and his famous statement. The Mavericks also announced that the All-American Rejects and their song “Gives You Hell” will proudly be featured throughout the team’s inaugural season. |

| The Missouri Mavericks were defeated by the Wichita Thunder, 3-0, Friday night, October 9, 2009 at Wichita Ice Center in the first exhibition game in Mavericks’ history. Missouri outshot the Thunder 39-32 in the game, but was unable to get a puck past the Wichita defense. |
