Visitation will be Saturday August 26,at Langsford Funeral Home,115 SW 3rd St, Lee’s Summit, MO 64063, from 11-1:00 p.m., and service at 1:00 p.m.

Joel I. Seigel

Joel I. Siegel, MD, age 80, of Lee’s Summit, Missouri passed away on August 20, 2017.  

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, August 24th at 1:30 pm at Longview Funeral Home, 12700 S Raytown Rd, Kansas City, MO 64149. Interment will follow in Longview Cemetery. Memorial Donations are suggested to the Vision Research Foundation, 2310 Holmes St, #6, Kansas City, MO 64108.

Carol Anne Butler Smith

Carol Anne Butler Smith, age 75, of Lee’s Summit, Missouri, died Thursday, August 3, 2017, at  Truman Medical Center in Kansas City, Missouri. 

She was born March 27, 1942, in Kansas City, Missouri, the daughter of Harold W. and Laura J. (Wernwag) Butler. Along with her parents, Carol was preceded in death by her brother, David Butler; her grandparents; and numerous uncles.

Hazel Ione Overholt

Hazel Ione Overholt "Ione" passed away peacefully in her home August 3, 2017. Ione was dearly loved by her children, Kathy Clifford, Sue Rosner, Robert Franz, Ethel Bersuch, and Dolores Lowrance, and her step-children, Pat Overholt, Jo Overholt, and Kathy Lewis.

She will be laid to rest with her first husband of 43 years, Robert Franz, at Ft. Logan National Cemetery. Graveside service only at 2:15 p.m. Sept. 1.

Gary L. Walden

Gary L. Walden, age 74, of Warsaw, Missouri, passed away Thursday, July 27, 2017 at University Hospital in Columbia, Missouri.

Graveside services with military honors will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, July 31, 2017 at Washburn Prairie Cemetery under direction of Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville, Missouri.  Brother Dayton Brattin will conduct the services.

The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until 12:30 p.m/ Monday at Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville.

Kenneth T. Conlee, 64, of Lee’s Summit, passed away on Wednesday, July 26, 2017 at his home following a long illness.

A scheduled visitation will be from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. on Monday, July 31, 2017 at Langsford Funeral Home in Lee’s Summit, Missouri. A private family service will be held at a later date.

David W. Bruns, 59, of Blue Springs, MO passed away July 21st, 2017 to be with the Lord. 

A visitation will be held 8:30-10:00 AM with a mass to follow at Saint Roberts Bellarmine Catholic Church, 4313 S.W State Route 7, Blue Springs, MO 64014. Burial will be at Mount Olivet Cemetery, 7601 Blue Ridge Blvd.

Denise Mary Petrullo, 64, died at Village Hospice on Monday, July 24, 2017. Born August 29, 1952 in Brooklyn, New York.  

A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, July 29th at the Community of Christ, 1101 NE Independence Avenue, Lee's Summit.

Ted L. Lynch, 83, of Independence, Mo. died June 25, 2017.  Ted was born November 2, 1933 in Calhoun, Mo to Henry D. and Opal (Horn) Lynch. Ted graduated in 1952 from Lee's Summit High School where he was an award winning runner in track.

Linda M. Bigby

Dr. Linda M. Bigby, passed away on June 30, 2017 in Columbia, Missouri. Her body succumbed to a neurodegenerative disease, though her spirit did not.

A Celebration of Linda’s Life will be held at Lee’s Summit Christian Church, 800 NE Tudor Rd., Lee’s Summit, MO on July 15, 2017. Visitation begins at 2 p.m. and the Celebration Services will begin at 4 p.m.
