Nathan Russell Giron

Visitation will be held Friday, February 5, 2016 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Lee’s Summit United Methodist Church, 114 S.E. Douglas St, Lee’s Summit, MO, 64063.  

Funeral will be held Saturday, February 6, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at Lee’s Summit United Methodist Church. Burial will be at the Historical Lee’s Summit Cemetery following the service.

John Wayne “Jack” Welborn

Funeral Services for John W. “Jack” Welborn will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, Feb. 1, 2016 at the Wallace Funeral Home in Pleasant Hill, MO with Evangelist Don Carlile officiating. Casket Bearers will be Lane Farrar, Seth Farrar, Casey Heflin, Austin Heflin, Chris Stock and Kevin Connealy. Honorary Bearers are Danny Kolwyck, Jay Quick and Sonny Paul. Burial will be in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery with Military Honors provided by V.F.W. Honors Team, Post #3118 of Pleasant Hill. 

The family will receive friends from 4 – 7:00 p.m. Sunday, January 31, 2016 at the funeral home where a Masonic 
Service will be held at 7:00 p.m.

David Thomas Sheridan, 45, of Lee’s Summit


David Thomas Sheridan, 45, of Lee’s Summit, Missouri, passed away Friday, January 22, 2016.  

A visitation will be held from 9-11:30 a.m. Saturday, January 30, 2016, at Woods Chapel United Methodist Church at 4725 NE Lakewood Way, Lee’s Summit, MO 64064 with a funeral service to celebrate his life following at 12 p.m.

Dortha Louise Ryland

Dortha Louise Ryland, 94, passed away on January 21, 2016, in Lee's Summit, MO.
She was born November 9, 1921, in Jamestown, MO, to Oscar and Frances Haldiman and was a graduate of Jamestown High School. On February 26, 1946, she married Laurence Ryland and they established their family farm near Odessa, MO.

Allene Noland, 95, left this earth Monday evening surrounded by her loving family and friends. She was born in Kansas City, Missouri. She was a student of Thomas Hart Benton, while she studied at the Kansas City Art Institute. She enjoyed life-long love of art and music.

David J. Maschger

David J. Maschger, 75, died peacefully at home on December 24, 2015. He was born April 1, 1940 to Howard E. and Jane C. (Adams) Maschger at St. Margaret's Hospital in Hammond, IN. David loved God completely, his family fiercely, and his dog Lucy unconditionally. He was honorable, ethical and above all, loyal.

David had many interesting careers including paperboy, Fuller Brush salesman, and assembly line worker for Ford before advancing into management. He transferred to Lee's Summit in 1979 and served as CEO of Lee's Summit Hospital for 11 years. In 1990, he retired after 30 years in healthcare. He and his wife, Anne, moved to Aliquippa, PA to work with the Community of Celebration, a religious order in the Episcopal Church. Upon returning to the area, he and Anne purchased Minsky's Pizza in Lee's Summit, which they owned for 10 years. He served as Executive Director of The Light House, a pregnancy ministry, for 5 years.
