Addie Elizabeth Ring Harris, 89, of Lee’s Summit, MO passed away Sat. Nov. 17, 2012 at her son’s home.
Funeral service will be Nov. 24 at 11am at Langsford Funeral Home.
Visitation will begin one hour prior at 10am. Burial at Lee’s Summit Historical Cemetery.
Addie was born Feb. 28, 1923 in Chapel Hill, MO.
Addie, affectionately known to friends and family as Grandma Cookie and Tiger, lived her whole life in the Lee’s Summit area. She was successfully married to her husband Lloyd for 25 years and they raised one son, Edmond.
After Lloyd’s death, she returned to work as a quality control inspector at Kalmar Plastics. Upon retirement she was active in the raising of her grandson, Nick.
She was preceded in death by her husband Lloyd, sisters Francis, Stella, and Dorothy.
She is survived by her son Edmond, grandson Nick and wife Laurel, and her three great grandchildren Joshua, 17, Jacob, 13, and Justin, 6.
She will be missed by family, friends and neighbors for her long life of sharing and caring and setting a standard for doing what she thought was right.
