Cathy Marie Paulson
Cathy Marie Paulson, 55, Lee’s Summit, died Feb. 12, 2010 at Lee’s Summit Medical Center.
She was born April 18, 1954 in Fort Dodge, Iowa to Joann Spencer and the late Virgil Spencer. On July 9, 1971, she married Loren Paulson. They have spent the last 38 years building a beautiful life together.
Cathy was active in her church, community, various charitable organizations and most importantly, her family and circle of friends. She was a member of the Lee’s Summit Christian Church. She loved to listen to her husband sing, shop with her daughters and friends, help others and play with her babies. There was nothing more precious to Cathy than her husband, her children and grandchildren. She will be terribly missed by all, but has returned home to heaven to join her dad, brother and son.
Cathy will be remembered for her passion for helping others and for always putting the needs of others before her own. She was a wonderful wife, an amazing mom, a loving grandma and a sister, aunt and friend to many.
She is survived by her husband Loren Paulson; three daughters, Terra (Chris) Barrows, Tiffany Paulson and Toni (Scott) Meyer. Being “Nana” was one of her greatest joys in life. Nana will be watching over her “Babies,” Lanie, Avery, Cole, Brock and soon to be Cooper. She is also survived by her mother, Joann Spencer; her borther, Chuck Spencer; nieces; nephews; and many other beloved family members.
She is preceded in death by her father, Virgil Spencer; brother, Daniel Spencer; and son, Michael Spencer.
Services were at 11 a.m. Feb. 17 at Lee’s Summit Christian Church, 800 N.E. Tudor Rd., Lee’s Summit. The family suggests memorial contributions to the Lee’s Summit Hope House or to one of your favorite charities.
