Curtis Joseph Durbin

Feb. 7, 2012

Curtis Joseph Durbin

Curtis Joseph Durbin, 20, Platte City, MO, passed away February 3, 2012.
Born in Kansas City, Missouri on October 9, 1991
to Victoria Durbin, they were one another’s life.

Curtis leaves his mother Victoria;  maternal grandparents, Shirley Durbin, Indian Wells, CA,  Larry and Pat Durbin, Grand Island, NE; Uncle Matt, Aunt Tonia and cousins Kennedy and Tyler Durbin all of Wichita, Kansas and niece Nevaeh Priesendorf of Oklahoma.

Curtis enjoyed hanging out with his friends, listening to music and was an avid X Box Live gamer. He was the person his friends went to for advice, to receive insight on life and to be comforted by. Curtis found joy in making his friends and family happy. He always knew how to put a smile on someone's face when they were feeling down. Curtis had an undying love for his mother and looked up to her as his hero he considered his best friend. For Victoria, Curtis was her life, her pride and joy, her baby boy.

Curtis was a great friend to all who knew him and he will be greatly missed but never forgotten; he has begun his “epic adventure” and we wish him well as he will forever be in our hearts.

If desired, memorial contributions may be made in memory of Curtis Durbin to the Tri County Mental Health Services, 3100 NE 83rd St., Kansas City, Missouri 64119.

A Celebration of his life will be held at 12:00 p.m. Saturday, February 11 at D.W. Newcomer's Sons White Chapel Funeral Home, 6600 N. Antioch Road.  Friends may visit from 10:30 – 12:00 prior to the service.
