Dorothy M. Dann
Dorothy M. Dann of Lee's Summit, formerly of Marion, IL, passed away at John Knox Care Center on May 31, 2010. Funeral services will be at Langsford Funeral Home in Lee's Summit on Monday, June 7 beginning with a short visitation at 6:00 p.m. Officiating ministers are Dr. Paul D. Dann of Midland, Michigan
(her son), and Dr. Gary Snowden of First Baptist Church Lee's Summit.
Additional services will be held in Marion, IL on Wednesday June 9 at 2:00 p.m. with burial to follow at the Liberty Cemetery in Harrisburg, IL
Born Dorothy M. Owen on December 22, 1917 in Harrisburg, IL, she was married to Rev. Paul E. Dann, Sr. and served alongside him in ministry and raising their family for more than 40 years. Her dedication and love for the Lord and for her family are her great and lasting legacy. She was deeply loved and will be missed.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Paul E. Dann, Sr. and by several siblings. She is survived by her children: Dr. Paul D. Dann of Michigan, Marlene Summers of Lee's Summit, her grand children: Lori Deason, Robert Summers, Chris Dann, and Dann Summers her great grand children: Jessica Schmitz, Brandan Deason, Erin Dann, and Erica Dann and one sister: Bernice
Memorial contributions may be made to Ina Missionary Baptist Church, Ina, IL, which was her home church for many years.
