Eldon Morgan Gregory


Eldon Morgan Gregory, 74, of Lee’s Summit, MO, died, Monday, February 27, 2012, at Saint Luke’s Plaza, Mid America Heart Institute.

Visitation will be held from 10-11 a.m., Saturday, March 3, at First Baptist Church Raytown, 10500 East State Route 350, Raytown, Mo., followed by an 11 a.m. Memorial Service held in the Sanctuary.

Born May 31, 1937, in Webster Springs W.Va., he was the son of the late John Morgan Gregory and Leo Gustavia (Hamrick) Gregory. He entered the United States Air Force in 1955 and served until 1967, he was a veteran of the Korean and Vietnam wars. On July 18, 1959 he married, Willa Dean (Happy) Boyer, who preceded him in death July 2009. He was preceded in death by three sisters, Lennie Mick, Elma Tolliver, Erma Gregory; three brothers Glen Gregory, Norris Gregory, Hayward Gregory. Survivors include two sisters, Arlene Ammerman of Ravenna, OH, Orva Armentrout, of Columbiana OH; brother, Homer Gregory, of Ravenna OH; sons, Larry Boyer and wife, Cindy of Wichita, KS, Dwayne Boyer and wife, Arlyn of Kansas City MO, Dr. Reuel Gregory and wife, Carol of Kansas City, MO; daughters, Lynette Boyer-Fry and husband, David of St. Petersburg, FL; Dawnalie (Boyer) Hamman and husband, Larry of Lee’s Summit, and Ellen (Gregory) Wehmeyer and husband, Mark of Lee’s Summit; 11 grandchildren, six step-grandchildren, seven great grandchildren and four step-great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials made in his name to Disabled American Veterans, DAV Memorial Program, PO Box 14301, Cincinnati, OH 45250-0301 or www.dav.org/donate.

    I am sorry for your loss. My mother was Goldie Sanders. She was married to Glen Gregory. I would look forward to hear from you. All of my Grandmas family have passed.
