Evelyn Marie Moshell

Evelyn Marie Moshell, 92, of Lee’s Summit, went to heaven on Monday, January 13, 2014 at Kansas City Hospice House after having a stroke. She was born January 20, 1921 to Charles Lappine and Geniva Hanks.
Evelyn graduated from North Kansas City High School and went on to volunteer 4,000 hours at Truman Medical Center East. Evelyn lived in Lee’s Summit since 1959.
She worked at TG&Y in Kansas City and Lee’s Summit, and then retired from Sears in Lee’s Summit. After retirement, she worked with her daughter, Renee, at Designs by Renee in Lee’s Summit.
She loved the outdoors and animals. Evelyn was also an avid gardener on her 2 ½ acres of land.
She is survived by her daughter, Renee Lentz (Phillip), 5 grandchildren; Dawn Gibson (Jim) of Blue Springs, Denise Shawbaker(Steve) of Lee’s Summit, John Edward Moshell of Grandview, Troy Lentz of Independence (Missy), and Lane Lentz (Tracy). Great-grandchildren; AJ Barber, Mike Barber, Michelle Barber, Tommy Shawbaker, Danny Shawbaker, James Moshell, Jared Lentz, Jena Brasfield (Chris), Devon Hawkins and Ryan Hawkins and great-great-grandchildren; Sarah, Hank, Weston, Chloe and Charlie.
Evelyn is preceded in death by her son, 21, Charlie Edward Moshell; her son James Raliegh Moshell and her husband of 60 years, Howard Paul Moshell, 87.
Funeral service will be held at Langsford Funeral Home, 115 SW 3rd Street, Lee’s Summit, MO, on Saturday, January 18, 2014. Visitation will be at 2pm, service will be at 3pm. Burial to follow in the Greenwood, MO cemetery next to her husband, Howard.
Reverend Neff will lead the services. Evelyn’s great-grandsons, Danny, AJ, Mike, Tommy, James and Jared will be the pallbearers.
