In Loving Memory of Thomas Armil Mack- husband, father, grandfather,
uncle, and friend.  2/4/1946 – 7/12/2011

Tom passed away suddenly on Tuesday morning, July 12th at his home in Lees Summit.
He is survived by his wife Linda Ball Mack; two sisters- Betty Mack Ogle, Nina Mack Leonard; sister in law- Cynthia Mack; one brother- Samuel Paul Mack; a brother in law- John Ball (wife Donna); three sons- Alex, (wife Destiny) David, (wife Jennifer) and Thomas; six grandchildren- Hayleigh, Riann, Raine, Emaley, Rylee, and Reed; and a very large and loving extended family.  He is preceded in death by
his parents, Armil David Mack and Grace McNally Mack; and his brother-Michael David Mack. 
 
Tom graduated from Kansas City’s Northeast High School in 1964 .  He joined the Navy after high school serving his country during the Vietnam war, and then worked at St. Lukes Hospital on the plaza for 30 years.   More recently, Tom has been employed by the Honeywell Federal Manufacturing Facility as an operating engineer and is a member of The International Union of Operating Engineers, local 101. 

Tom enjoyed his life spoiling his grandchildren and cats, working with wood, fishing, baking pies, bicycling- where he rode and completed the M.S. 150 bicycle ride for nine years, as well as camping with his family and the Boy Scouts where he previously served as the Scoutmaster of Troop 409 in Raytown, MO. 
 
A visitation is being held on Thursday night July 14th, from 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. at the Langsford Funeral Home, 115 Southwest 3rd Street in Lees Summit, Missouri.  His funeral will be held  at the same location on Friday morning, July 15th at 10:00 a.m.  He will then be buried in Humansville, Missouri at 3:00 p.m. the same day.  

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in his honor to the First Baptist Church of Lee's Summit, 2 NE Douglas St, Lees Summit, MO 64063.

    Mack children, your father/grandfather was obviously a fine man. I know his son David and daughter-in-law, Jen, along with their two daughters, Hayleigh and Emaley. Finer people you couldn't find. Hugs to you all. I know you will miss him.

    If this t mack that serve on the uss Johnson DD821 as a machinist mate
    I was there with him
    We were great friends in fact we use to live in the house in the back in Charleston
    I had that 93 chev red convertible
    My ex wife was name Elia she had a baby when we were at sea
    Right now we are in KANSAS City Mo.
